Celtic Sea Salt

This Light Grey Celtic Sea Salt is quality certified and has more nutrients than table salt and provides a natural balance of minerals and trace elements. This sea salt is hand-harvested, sun-dried whole salt from one of the most pristine coastal regions of France with no additives!

Lower in sodium, additive free, certified Kosher, non GMO, gluten free and vegan.

Lee’s Ghee

This ghee is hand crafted in small batches using unsalted, organic,cultured butter. It’s great for everyday use. Plain Jane is ideal to use as a cooking fat in place of olive oil or butter for high temperature cooking because it is very stable and doesn’t burn or change its structure up to very high temperatures (230 °C). Because of the bacterial cultures present in the cultured, organic butter we use to make our ghee, this ghee will change flavour over time.

Cultured ghee is marginally healthier than regular ghee and the bacterial cultures present in the ghee improve the flavour over time, much like a good wine or cheese. The culturing process stops when ghee is refrigerated, so you have the option of letting it age unrefrigerated or keeping it in the fridge for a sweeter taste.

Jaswant’s Kitchen Tadka Masala

Jaswant is a small family owned and operated business that produces easy-to-use, all natural Indian spice blends. They are all hand-crafted and produced in Canada. They source great quality whole and ground spices.

The spice that we have included in this box is one of the most popular from Jaswant’s Kitchen. Tadka is the flavour base of almost all Indian dishes. It is the process of frying onions, garlic and ginger in oil along with many aromatic spices. It is what brings an Indian dish to life.

By simply mixing this spice blend with water, you create an “instant tadka”. This allows many of our recipes to be cooked using little to no oil, making our versions of these dishes healthier, while still preserving all of the flavour. This blend is the most versatile and allows you to cook meat curries, vegetable dishes, lentils and more.

Mousto Balsamic Vinegar

This is one of my absolute favourite culinary items. It’s great on salads, meat, seafood and veggies! 100% natural, this product is free from preservatives, pesticides, chemicals, additives and dyes. Created from an ancient Greek recipe, Acropolis Organics mousto balsamic vinegar is made from Romeiki grapes to deliver a taste as rich and dynamic as Crete’s history and culture.

Unlike most modern balsamic to which cane sugar is added, our Mousto Balsamic is enhanced with Petimezi - a natural, ancient grape molasses, which gives our vinegar a full fruity sweetness. It’s then aged in oak barrels for six years to further enrich its flavour.

Earth’s Choice Organic Coconut Milk

We thought organic coconut milk would be a nice addition to the Jaswant’s Kitchen Tadka.
